A room for a TEENager
di Little Fairy Project il 08 May 2017
Last few weeks have been very intense for all of us at Little Fairy Project. From Milan Furniture Fair to the Fuorisalone fantastic events, from making new contacts to contemplating new design concepts for our clients, it has been a no-stop period for us.
We discovered new design tendencies for kids’ interiors and amazing design concepts of some of the biggest Italian furniture companies. Fuorisalone was absolutely amazing and full of creative energy: designers from all over the world presented their interesting and exciting projects.
We were very pleased to realise that even the biggest and the most important companies in the world of furniture design had an important part of their design dedicated to kids’ interiors. Rooms for the little ones were not only nice to look at, but also incredibly functional and well thought through.
One of the most innovative projects was definitely the one by NIDI. They presented a line of interiors for teenagers, kids age from 13 onward, especially designed for their interests and passions. Will to change, typical for this sensitive age, is constantly present in creative design, forms, colours and themes of the rooms. We have witnessed four different concepts: #MYSTAGE, #MYOCEAN, #MYLAB and #MYROUTE, which presented true and very personable ambients for teens.
Studies are designed to keep a mirror or objects that kids can not do without. Wallpaper and stickers are crucial for personalising each room in a decisive and exciting manner. Trend colours are: almond, hazel, basalt, cement, blackboard, denim and ginger.
Among many novelties, we are particularly found of multifunctional system called Loop: a piece of furniture that connects to closets, cabinets and bookcases in order to respond to the need of those teenagers who like keeping both their clothes and accessories in sight, and not hidden in the closet.
At this point we can not wait to design our next teen room! If you are thinking of changing your kid’s room, contact us ... we have many ideas and creative concepts that we would love to share with you!
